CentreSource: Name change?
So, we've decided that its probably time to change our name :) After 3+ years in business, its become very clear that CentreSource is a case study in how NOT to name your company or create a logo. In the beginning, CS was envisioned (by me) to be a global outsourcing provider for a variety of services - kinda like LBMC. After 1.5 years, we decided to become a web design firm and the name became less of a fit. Moreover, we constantly have to explain the spelling since we pronouce it "Centersource" and when people read it they say "Centrasource". The best kicker is that we designed the logo so that the first part of the word is separated from the second part - and we even capitalized the 's'! This leads everyone to write it out as 'Centre Source'. Whew, talk about trouble.
But alas, the name has been good to us and we're sad to consider leaving it. However, we wanted a name that was more suited for a web design firm - something that said we were creative yet industrious with development. After spending 4+ weeks asking everyone under the sun for their suggestions... and doing countless domain lookups... we've settled upon two names:
www.ArtisticEngine.com
and
www.TwoTonPixel.com
*Note: We also have the numbered variations
The last part is for us to choose! So we've put together the best logos we have from both names and we're now trying to settle on one. Whichever logo wins is the name we'll use. Granted, we're asking for LOTS of votes outside of the blog - so don't think the blog will make the only determining factor... but it will help.
Oh yeah, and don't get confused by the Two Ton Pixel with the Train. It was a design mistake, so vote for either of those if you can envision th words Artistic Engine instead!

Number 2 and number 8 for
Number 2 and number 8 for me. Maybe a combination of the two? I like the weight in #2 but the colors in #8 are nicer.
Two Ton Pixel and logo #8.
Two Ton Pixel and logo #8. There is absolutely no contest in my mind.
BTW, I would like Artistic Engine if you were a Ruby on Rails shop. Otherwise I am not a big fan of the train motif.
Star, our excellent flash
Star, our excellent flash designer, made a great game in favor of Two Ton Pixel. Make sure your speakers are turned on so that you can hear the neat jingle in the beginning!
