Warner Brothers Records
James Otto website
Warner Brothers Records approached centre{source} about building a site for their artist James Otto after seeing some of our other music industry work. In order to make the website the center of this artists career, Warner needed a site that would include a full suite of web tools including a fanclub area, online tour dates, integration with YouTube, and other rich video displayed via embedded Flash players. The challenge: each one of these features needed to be fully customizable by “non-technical users.” We set forth to create a rich and simple content management system that would make it easy for any user—regardless of their technical ability—to make updates quickly and frequently.

CMS Implementation
A content management system (CMS) is a database that authors, stores, and delivers content. Having a CMS allows greater access and flexibility for a client’s management of assets especially inside of complex websites or intranet development. All of the content in a CMS implementation such as text, graphics, video, and other assets resides in this central repository. This system allows clients to add and edit their own website content, without reliance on a 3rd party to make quick updates.
During the CMS implementation, the centre{source} team will install and test the software, ensure that page layouts are setup properly, migrate all content, and train authors on the ongoing use and deployment of workflow rules and security settings. And unlike other agencies, we do not charge ongoing licensing fees.

CSS Breakdown
centre{source} utilizes Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for your web presence. This extremely powerful language allows our design developers to make use of CSS to control the style and layout of multiple Web pages all at once to describe how documents are presented on screen. Some of the CSS benefits include: full support in almost all browsers and the ability to define custom styles and classes that allows greater focus on designing the layout of a site.
We can take any traditional HTML web site and by applying a CSS breakdown of the site, the external style sheet saves both space and bandwidth. By using CSS on your web pages, they will load faster. People are not simply willing to wait more than 5 seconds to view your message!
